Archery Championship: AR continues winning streak

Imphal, November 02 2013 : The Assam Rifles Archery Team continuing its domination over the 24th Senior Manipur State Archery Championship 2013, on the fifth day of the tournament today and bagged 9 medals, including 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze.

With these recent results, the total gains of the team now stand at 8 Gold, 8 Silver and 4 Bronze Medals.

On the 5th day too, almost all the medals at the stake in recurve round of the championship were swept by the Assam Rifles Archery Team (ARAT).

In 90 m Recurve round, Rifleman Sh Sanatomaba Singh bagged the Gold, while Silver medal was secured by Havildar N Subhachandra.

In 70 m Recurve round ARAT prevailed over all the opponents by clinching all the three medals at stake.

Similar results were repeated in 50m and 30m Recurve round in which two Golds, one Silver and one Bronze medal were won by the Team.

Apart from Rifleman Sh Sanatomba Singh and Havildar N Subhachandra who secured three Gold and three Silver medals respectively, Rifleman Th Sanayaimai Singh secured one Gold in 70m recurve round and Rifleman H Bidyajit Singh clinched two Bronze medals in 70m and 30m event.
