2nd MCA Elite Cricket Tournament Blue Hawk register 34 runs win over CHAMP

Imphal, February 02 2016: Blue Hawk, Khurai defeated CHAMP, Khagempali by 34 runs in the ongoing 2nd Elite Tournament, organised by the Manipur Cricket Association (MCA), today at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium, Luwangshangbam.

After winning the toss Blue Hawk went to bat first and struck 166 runs with three wickets down in the allotted 35 overs.

Unbeaten Samson was the star player of Blue Hawk as he slammed 81 runs off 108 balls.

The other notable scorers of Blue Hawk were Al Basit and Sadan.

Al Basit scored 34 runs off 60 balls while Sadan contributed 30 runs off 20 balls.

Champ's bowlers Alai and Sunder took two and one wicket respectively.

Batting second, CHAMP were bundled out for 132 runs in the allotted 35 overs with four men down.

CHAMP's Gulson scored 51 runs off 82 balls and was the highest scorer of CHAMP.

Vobida (13), Premchand (12) and Tony (11) were the other main scorers of CHAMP.

Blue Hawk's Sultan and Guniram scalped two wickets each while Sanatomba and Jitendra took a wicket each.

The man of the match title went to Samson of Blue Hawk.

Tomorrow, Model Club, Chingamakha will play with YWC, Langthabal.
