Manipur Hockey League SYUC, MEIRAA script wins

Imphal, January 31 2017: SYUC, Uchekon Khunou thrashed PHAM, Yaiskul 9-0, while MEIRAA, Bashikhong defeated YCCIC, Kontha Ahallup 6-3 today in the ongoing Senior Men and Women Manipur Hockey League, 2017 at Hockey Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

In the first match, SYUC, Uchekon Khunou dominated the match and registered a comfortable win.

K Deveshor of SYUC got a hat trick in the match by scoring in the 4th, 10th and 22nd minute.

His team-mate L Robindro also made similar significance by scoring another three goals in the 9th, 32nd and 38th minute.

S Amujao added another two more goals in the 11th and 19th minute while L Mantosh contributed a goal in the 37th minute to defeat PHAM, Yaiskul 9-0 .

In the second match, S Jungson of MEIRAA, Bashikhong scored two goals in the 46th and 53rd minute.

B Jasobanta, Th Athouba, Th Tompok, and Th Thonglen added one goal each to the team in the 15th, 17th, 32nd and 52nd minute respectively to make the total score of the team 6.PHAM, Yaiskul could pull back only through T Denick in the 22nd and 45th minutes and one from Sh Budhi in the 29th minute.

YCCIC, Kontha Ahallup and PHAM, Yaiskul will lock horns in the first match of the women's category at 1.30 pm tomorrow.

SEYO, Singjamei Wangma Khetri Leikai and SYUC, Uchekon Khunou will also play at 2 pm.
