Imphal, December 31 2018: Manipur Weightlifting Association will be conducting trial selection on January 6, 2019 at Weightlifting Training Centre, Gate No 12 Khuman Lampak for the preparation of State teams which will participate in the 71 st Men and 34th Women Senior National Weightlifting Championship, 2019 to be held at Vishakhapatnam, AP from February 21 to 28, 2019 .

The selection of the State team will be purely made on the basis of the performance to be recorded in the trial selection which will begin on 10 am on January 6 after conducting weigh-in earlier at 8 am, said a press statement of Manipur Weightlifting Association.

The association also informed all concerned athletes, coaches and technical officials to report at the venue by 7.30 am of the trial day.
