Imphal, December 31 2013 : The 9 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector AR in collaboration with Moreh Youth Club organised a Football Match at Kut Ground, Moreh on December 30 .

The Inaugural ceremony was presided over by Commandant, 9 Assam Rifles.

A keen sportsman himself, he highlighted the importance of sports in the overall development of personality of an individual.

He was appreciative of the noble initiative initiated by Assam Rifles and Moreh Youth Club Veterans to promote football in Mani-pur and give Manipuri youth an opportunity to showcase their talent.

A large number of community leaders and locals were in attendance to mark the essence of friendship between Assam Rifles and peo- ple of Moreh.

Football Match kicked off with great zeal amidst grandeur, pomp and show.

The match was played between 9 AR and Moreh YC with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship amongst an encouraging crowd of football enthusiasts, added a PRO IGAR (S) release.
