9th MNCA Plate Tournament : MPA beat RRCC by 1 wicket as SSU get walkover win

MPA, Thounaojam sealed a hardfought 1 wicket win over RRCC, Churachandpur as SSU got a walkover win against KIYC in today's matches of the ongoing 9th MNCA Plate Tournament.
Opting to bat first at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, RRCC were dismissed for 148 runs in 32.3 overs before MPA struggled their way to 151/9 in 31.2 overs for the second win in five Group A matches.

Louriyam Elan 32, Kh Dekey 22, Bineto 18, Salam Hemanta 12 and Sanasam Ruby 10 scored double digit scores for RRCC in their innings that saw Th Chinglensana (2/23), Huidrom Dhanashyam 2/38 and Vivekraj Chabungbam (2/26) shared 6 wickets for MPA.
MPA also had a tumultuous chase as Bineto (3/36) and Md Irfan Khan (2/19) pile pressure on their batting line up but contributions from Chingtham Albish 21, Yumnam Sheiteendra 21, Vivekraj Chabungbam 18, Naorem Britain 17 and Huidrom Dhanashyam 13 and 32 extras helped them to reach winning 151 in 31.2 overs.
Vivekraj Chabungbam who picked two wickets and added 18 runs in the chase was adjudged player of the match.
Meanwhile, SSU, Singjamei Kakwa got a walkover win as KIYC, Kshetrigao did not turn up for a Group B match at Lairenjam Public Ground.
