State veterans win two gold at NE Masters TT Championships

Manipur-A and Ma-nipur50 won gold medals on the second day of the 3rd NE Masters Table Tennis Championships 2024 in Kohima, Nagaland.
The Manipur-A team, featuring Dharmendra, Bikram, Brojen and Ojesh, clinched the men's 40+ team event title with a commanding 3-0 victory over Mizoram in the final.
Demonstrating dominance throughout the competition, Manipur-A overcame their fellow players from Manipur-C in the semifinal, relegating them to a bronze-medal finish.
In the women's com petition, the Manipur50 team, comprising Ashalata, Kiranbala, and Manitombi, displayed remarkable skill to triumph over Manipur60 in the final, securing another gold for the state.
With two golds, one silver, and two bronze medals already in their tally, Manipur have established themselves as leading contenders in the tournament.
The state contingent, led by manager Brajamani Sharma and coach Th Dharmendra, consists of 19 players.
The competition is set to conclude on Saturday, November 30, 2024, with singles and doubles events.
