Romario bowls REYS to 7 wicket win in MNCA Elite Tournament

Romario starred with a four wicket haul to lead REYS, Nagamapal to a 7 wicket win against RULE, Malom in the ongoing 7th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Tournament.
RULE crashed to a meagre total of 79 runs in 32.3 overs after being let to bat first at Khangabok Part III Public Ground and REYS eased to their third victory in four matches within 18 overs at the cost of three wickets only.
Romario gave RULE early jitters removing both the openers cheaply and swept the last two wickets to complete his four wicket haul (4/11 in 6.3 overs which include 2 overs) in this innings where Sanjenba Ananda proved highest run getter with 18 runs off 40 deliveries.

Kiran Laishram meanwhile bagged two wickets to help set up the batting collapse and Sougrakpam Shangkar and Sapam Bikash shared a wicket apiece.
In reply, Sougrakpam Shangkar (10) Naoshekpam Manglemba (20) and Md Basir Rahman (19) laid a strong foundation for REYS before Paul Zomi hit Jay Singh for a six to finish off the chase in the first ball he faced to steer REYS to winning 82 for 3.Laishram Daniel was also unbeaten on 16 .
Nongthombam Sarojkumar picked two of the three wickets and Thokchom Kishan managed one in this innings.
Romario of REYS who produced an outstanding bowling performance was named man of the match.
Meanwhile at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground, PTRC-Patsoi Part IV were awarded full points after TRAU-Kwakeithel refused to play after being reduced to 8/1 in 4 overs in the chase.
After winning the toss, the Patsoi based team elected to bat first and piled up a lowly 170 runs total for 9 wickets.
TRAU bowler Yumnam Amritakaran wreaked havoc across the line up en route to his best 4/41 figures while Senate Mayengbam clinched twice for 11 runs in his spell of 5 overs.
Ngariyanbam Johnson scored the highest 45 for PTRC followed by Jotin Singh Pheiroijam (26), RK Rex (23), Rabi Sahu (22 not out) and Chingakham Bidash (20) .
TRAU lost Rahul RK to Deepak in the second over with 2 runs on the board and Karnajit Yumnam (4) and Priyojit Kangabam (4) were unbeaten when they refused to play further after 4 overs complaining about the pitch condition.
PTRC were eventually awarded full points as per tournament conduct rules.
Ngariyanbam Johnson who shone with his bat for PTRC was adjudged man of the match.
CRAU-Khamnam Bazar will play Blue Hawk- Khurai in the next match tomorrow at Model Hr Sec and Oriental College ground.
