25th Winners' Cup: Solomon scores five as KSC rout ASSA 9-0 at home

Imphal, December 22 2021: KSC, Kangpokpi demolished ASSA 9-0 at KSC ground Saparmeina today in the first quarter final (first leg) match of the ongoing 25th Thangjam Birachandra-Maipakpi Memorial Winners' Cup for Men.

Solomon Mangte took centre stage of the match as he banged in five goals alone (45+1', 49', 81', 87', 90') for the Kangpokpi side after Ginminthang Hangsing put KSC ahead after 6 minutes.

Ginminthang grabbed another goal in the 48th minute of the match after KSC led 2-0 till the break.

H Robinson (67') and Haokholen Kipgen (89') too find their names on the scoresheet for contributing a goal each.

ASSA will host KSC at Thoubal Kshetri Leikai ground on December 24 .

December 23 match
ZLYC, Churachandpur vs GSYC, Lonpi at Public Ground Churachandpur.
