Mayai Lambi College emerge MU Inter College Judo team champions

Imphal, October 22 2019: Mayai Lambi College which amassed 4 gold and 1 silver medal were crowned team champions at the Manipur University inter College Judo Tournament hosted by Regional College under the supervision of Manipur University Sports Committee.

The valedictory function of the inter college meet was graced by CAF& PD Minister , Karam Shyam; S Tilakchand, Principal, Regional College and B Sarat Sharma as dignitaries who also handed out prizes to the winners.

Kh Chinglen of Imphal College bagged the men's 56 kg event gold medal beating his compatriot NK Sureshkumar Singh in the final while NK Jaswal of Pravabati College and Mayai Lambi College's A Goldson bagged the gold and silver medal respectively in the men's 60 kg event.

W Ranbir of Mayai Lambi College won the 66 kg event gold beating Pravabati College's M Malemnganba in the final while O Diamond fetched another gold medal for Mayai Lambi College in the 81 kg event beating Pravabati College's S Somorjit in the final.

Mayai Lambi College bagged the third gold medal through M Thoithoi who got the better of M Malemnganba of Regional College in the 78 kg final.

In the 90 kg event, Mayai Lambi College's Ng Deepak emerged on top to win the gold medal while MU's Ch Thouba bagged the silver medal.

Ch Thoiba however bagged MU a gold medal in the 100 kg event for men while Th Rishikanta of Manipur College won the men's open gold.

In the women's events, N Sima of Manipur University won the 44 kg event gold; Biramangol College's Ph Arunika bagged the 48 kg event gold; Asma Begun of MU won the 57 kg event gold and Inunganbi of Biramangol College sealed the 63 kg event gold.

Women's 70 kg event gold went to Pravabati College's N Premlata and Shinthangambi Thokchom of Kakching Khunou College bagged the above 70 kg event gold.
