President's Cup Hockey : Khongman Students' Club, SYUC victorious

Imphal, September 19 2018: Khongman Students' Club and Social Youth United Club (SYUC) secured wins in today's league matches of the ongoing 2nd President's Cup Prize Money State Level U-14 Men and U-16 Women Hockey Tournament 2018 organised under the aegis of Manipur Hockey at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium.

It was a quick turn of the fortune as SYUC who conceded by 1-3 margin in the first half made a huge comeback to seal home the game by 7-4 margin over HWC in a Pool B league clash.

HWC took the first half lead through goals coming from Alex A (V, 10') and Samson (4') while the single of SYUC was struck by L Rivaldo in the 8th minute.

SYUC took control of the game in the latter part and it were L Rivaldo (26', 38', 42', 44'), RK Dhamendrajit (34') and S Umakanta (45') who beat the HWC keeper to make it 7-4 at the end.

The lone for HWC in the second half was scored by Alex A in the 35th minute.

In another match of the day, Khongman Studentss Club rode on L Samson's hattrick (23', 42', 51'), L Silheiba (39') and Ksh Borish (53') to post a 5-2 win over SEYO.

SEYO's goals were scored by Vickychandra (14') and N Amarjit (57') .
