19 women footballers from Manipur called up for Asiad preparatory Camp

Imphal, June 19 2018: 19 women football players from Manipur have been called up for the preparatory senior women coaching camp to be conducted in connection with the upcoming 18th Asian Games to be held in Jakarta, Indonesia from August 18 to September 2 .

A total of 35 players will be taking part in this senior National coaching camp to be held under the aegis of AIFF from June 20 .

The players from Manipur who will be taking part in the coaching camp are; Goalkeepers: E Panthoi Chanu, O Roshni and M Lingthoingambi; Defenders: Th Umabati Devi, W Lingthoingambi Devi, Ng Sweety Devi and L Ashalata Devi; Midfielders: Ksh Margaret Devi, I Prameshori Devi, M Mandakini Devi, Y Premi Devi and Ksh Ngoubi Devi and Strikers: W Ranjibala Devi, Ranjana Chanu, N Ratanbala, Ng Bala, Dangmei Grace, E Bindyarani Devi and Y Kamala Devi.

The other 16 players who will also be at the coaching camp are; Goalkeepers: Aditi Chauhan and Sowmiya N; defenders: Dalima Chhibber, Sumitra Marandi, Jabamani Tudu, Manisha Panna, Lako Bhutia and Rutuja Gunwant; Midfielders: K Sumitra Kamaraj, Lochana Munda, Sanju Yadav, Indumathi Kathiresan and Sangita Basfore and Strikers: Pyari Xaxa, R Sandhiya Ranganathan and Anju Tamang.

The players will receive training under Maymol Rocky (head coach), L Chaoba Devi (Assistant coach), L Ronibala Chanu (Goalkeeper Coach) and Priyanka Bhodke (Physiotherapist) at the coaching camp.
