NAPSA, KSDO cruise to fourth straight victories in 9th MNCA Plate Tournament

Imphal, December 18 2024: NAPSA, Kha Imphal and KSDO, Kyamgei eased to their fourth straight group stage victories in the ongoing 9th MNCA Plate Tournament.

At Lairenjam Public Ground, KSDO picked up their fourth straight victory by defeating YPHUC, Lalambung Makhong by 38 runs thanks to a slow but notable knock of 78 runs by Md Raish Raza.

Raish Raza and Nawaz Sharif inspired KSDO a total of 188 runs for all wickets down in 34.5 overs after electing to bat first and rode on a disciplined bowling approach from Tarique Aziz (3/ 36), Md Abdul Razaque (3/ 38) and Lakimbur (2/21) to dismiss YPHUC for 150 runs in 33 overs.

For YPHUC, Birbal Irom (3/36) and Chandrakumar (2/ 34) shared five wickets as three others claimed a wicket apiece before Birbal Irom struggled with a 55-ball 37 in the chase.

Raish Raza was eventually adjudged player of the match.

Elsewhere at Khangabok Cherapur Public Ground, NAPSA defeated SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 4 wickets for the fourth Group A league stage win on the trot.

Heisnam Boney produced a standout performance as he enjoyed a 4-wicket haul (4/ 22) to help bowl out SHADOW for 146 runs in 32.4 overs before scoring 47 off 37 balls to guide NAPSA to winning 148 for 6 wickets in 25.3 overs.

Md Aziz Khan starred for SHADOW with a 63-ball 71 hitting 6 fours and 4 sixes as Kh Devis, K Yohenba 15 and Y Bharatngamba 10 managed double digit scores in their innings that saw Boney (4/22), Tongbram Dhanakuber (2/13) and N Bipin (2/31) sharing 8 wickets for NAPSA .

L Kipajan 25 and T Dhanakuber 18 were unbeaten as NAPSA cruised to winning 148 in reply.

H Boney was eventually adjudged player of the match.
