Kalachand Memorial Basketball Championship Host Model Club win in opening day

Imphal, December 18 2015 : The 1st Women and 2nd Men Basketball Championship, organised by the Model Club, Chingamakha began today at Chingamakha Basketball Ground.

The opening ceremony was attended by Model Club president Haobam Indeshwor Singh and 40 AR Singjamei OC Major N Prasanna as presidium members.

In the women's opening match, host Model Club, Chingamakha defeated BSC, Bamon Leikai 29-18 .

Priya (4), Chanda (9), Maheshwori (2), Keinakumari (8), Anuradha (2), Chadi (1) and Dhanapiyari (3) found the nets for the winning team.

BSC witnessed their points from Inakhunbi (6), Sonia (2), Sanatombi (8) and Helena (2) .

In the men's group Model Club-A thrashed BSC, Bamon Leikai 54-26 .

Lakpati was the star player of the winning team as he alone scored 23 points while Jackson also contributed 14 points.

The other points came through Bob (6), Joykumar (5), Radheshyam (3), Tomba (2) and Johnson (1) .

On the other hand, Rajeshkumar (2), Rabikumar (4), Santosh (10), Boi (4) and Casper (6) found the net for BSC.
