12th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament : TCMDC overcome UCC by 9 runs, YWC-L beat Model Club by 6 wickets

Imphal, February 18 2025: TCMDC, Thongju overcame UCC, Uripok by 9 runs as YWC-L beat Model Club, Chingamakha by 6 wickets in today's matches of the 12th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament.

TCMDC posted 164 runs for all wickets down after opting to bat first and restricted UCC to 155/9 in response to seal their second Group B victory today.

Premjit Ningombam 43, L Krishna 24 and Ningthoujam Sanjit 22 led the scoring for TCMDC after electing to bat first before Sanjit (4/42), Damen (2/17) and Kh Bijesh (2/21) piled pressure on UCC batters.

For UCC, A Ramesh (2/25) and L Jugalkishore (2/30) shared four wickets as three others picked a wicket apiece.

The opening pair of A Ramesh 43 and Roman Soram 64 made significant scores for UCC in reply but the following batters fell cheaply forcing them to settle for 155/9 in 20 overs.

Ninthoujam Sanjit of TCMDC was adjudged man of the match.

Later in a Group D match, YWC-L restricted toss winners Model Club to 143/4 before cruising to winning 146/4 in 17.4 overs thanks to L Manaobi's unbeaten 60 off 48 balls.

Earlier in the Model Club innings, S Sunil 55 not out and Syed Mujibur 37 produced commendable batting performances.

Tejkumar of YWC-L starred with a haul of 3/17 in this innings.

L Manaobi who led YWC-L to the victory was adjudged man of the match.
