Manipur women to fight Bihar in semis of Sr Natl Kabaddi Championships

Imphal, December 17 2012:
Manipur women's team will be fighting Bihar for a berth in the final of the 60th Senior National Kabaddi Championships organised by Manipur State Kabaddi Association (MSKA) under the auspices of Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) tomorrow at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, Imphal.
Manipur beat Odisha in today's match of women's category and entered semi finals.
Manipur earned 29 points against 13 of Odisha and won the berth in the semi final.
In another match, Indian Railways beat Bihar.
Indian Railways won 44 points while Bihar could get only 16 points.
Odisha won 30 points and defeated Assam who won 23 points in another match of women's category.
Indian Railways will fight Odisha in the first semi final tomorrow while in the second semi final, Manipur will fight Bihar.
On the other hand, Manipur men's team could not make it into the semi final round.
In men's category, Indian Railways beat Odisha in the first match today.
Indian Railways won 19 points against Odisha's 11 .
The second match was won by Bihar with 42 points who defeated Jharkhand.
Jharkhand earned only 36 points.
In the third match, Manipur beat Assam after winning 38 points against Assam's 23 points.
Tripura beat Nagaland in the fourth match today.
Tripura won 32 points while Nagaland got defeated by a a difference of 2 points after they earned 30 points.
The last match was won by Indian Railways with 25 points after defeating host Manipur who could bagged only seven points.
Now, Indian Railways will fight Jharkhand in the first semi final tomorrow while in the second semi final, Bihar and Odisha will fight for a berth in the final.
The championships commenced on December 16 and will conclude tomorrow at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, Imphal.
