Thoubal Dist One Day Cricket : LCIC, Al-Ameen emerge victorious

LCIC and Al-Ameen secure wins against their respective rivals in today's matches of the Thoubal District One Day Cricket Tournament which is underway at Thoubal Moijing Playground under the aegis of Thoubal District Cricket Association.
In the first match staged today, Prakash and Apik scored 39 runs each and Sanaton added 27 runs to help LCIC post 139 runs for 8 in 26 overs (reduced).
Maruching of HCC played a crucial role in holding LCIC for paltry score as he scalped 4 wickets alone and his team mate Nando managed two wickets each before they had a disastrous innings (129 for 7 in 26 overs).
Saroj hit the highest 34 runs while Maruching and Kenjit respectively contributed 24 and 22 runs.
Sanatomba and Apik dismissed two wickets each in this innings.
Apik was adjudged man of the match.
In the second match, Al Ameen chased down the 102 runs target set by WYC in 14.4 overs with 7 wickets left in the hand.
Sarju (28), Samungou (17), Herokumar (10) and Kakman (10) scored for WYC in the first innings which saw Noushad claim 4 wickets while Nawaj and Muztaq manage 3 and 2 wickets respectively triggering an all-out.
In reply, Abdullah smashed 45 runs before Al Bashid and Nawaj remained on crease to score 20 and 10 runs respectively and set up the victory.
CAL thrash TQC by 51 runs CAL, Masjid Road clinched a huge 51 runs victory against TQC, Tentha yesterday.
CAL which won the toss and elected to bat first piled up 182 runs for 7 in their 30 overs quota riding one Rafiq (44) and Humza (38) before restricting the Tentha side at 131 for 10 in 28.2 overs.
Boycha and Sadam also contributed 17 and 12 runs respectively for CAL in the first innings that also saw TQC's Sonamani and Nanao claim two wicket each.
In the chase, Baboy had a promising start but was dismissed at 72 runs in the 62nd delivery before his team crumble for 131 runs.
Sajid managed 26 runs but the remaining order faltered with cheap scores as CAL's Humza ran riot to picked up 3 wickets and Aziz and Zanab aided Humza to claim 2 wickets each.
Syed Humza who shone both in the batting and the bowling was adjudged man of the match.
Tomorrow's fixture: TQC will face HCC in the first match tomorrow while CAL will meet Al-Ameen in the second match.
