4th MCA Plate Tournament Ajay's four-for helps CRAU to 6 wicket victory

Imphal, March 17 2018: Today's Group B league match of the 4th MCA Plate Tournament 2018 being organised by Manipur Cricket Association at Langthabal Public Ground saw CRAU Khamnam Bazar romp to a six wicket victory over YWC, Patsoi.

YWC who elected to bat first after winning the toss had a depressing innings as they could register only 90 runs for the loss of all wickets in 24.1 overs.

Their batsmen fell easily to the outstanding bowling feats of the Khamnam Bazar side's bowlers.

Amarjit who struck 20 runs in 33 balls was the highest scorer in this inning while Ricky and Priyobarta also contributed 21 runs together to make it 90 at the end.

Ajay played a tremendous role in this inning causing havoc through out the batting line up of YWC.

He claimed 4 wickets in 6 overs he was allotted while his compatriot Manglem picked up three wickets in 6 overs.

Somit Dev also took 2 wickets in this inning in 5 overs.

The chase was not an easy in the beginning but the batsmen of CRAU put up a concerted effort contributing average scores to reach the target for the loss of 4 wickets in 18.1 overs.

Somit Dev who came out as opener had a sluggish start making 17 in 39 balls.

Amitkumar then took the charge and hit 17 before he went out in the 17th delivery.

Hirachandra of the same team also added 14 runs off 21 balls in the chase while Rakesh and Amit registered 9 runs each to hand CRAU an impressive 6 wicket victory.

PSC, Khoyathong will take on WYC, Wangkhem in the next Group C league match scheduled on March 20 .
