12th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament : YPHU post third straight victory, YCC seal thrilling 1-run win over REYS

Imphal, February 17 2025: YPHU, Lalambung cruised to their third Group C victory in the 12th Manipur Veteran T-20 Cricket Tournament by defeating BKCC, Bamon Kampu by 4 wickets today at Langthabal Public Ground.

BKCC won the toss and gathered 134 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs but YPHU cruised to winning 135/6 in 18.4 overs thanks to contributions from Thenthen 28, Devkumar 26 and Dularva Singh 24 .

For BKCC, T Lenin 20, Bocha Singh 20 and Okram Suraj 13 led the scoring in an innings that saw Kumarkanta (3/19), L Surjit (2/13) and Devkumar (2/35) sharing 7 wickets for YPHU.

For BKCC, T Lenin picked four wickets (4/31) and Bocha Singh claimed two (2/20) .

Later in a Group A match, YCC, Wangkhei registered a thrilling 1-run victory over REYS, Nagamapal.

YCC racked up 152 for 5 wickets as A Bishorjit 20, Sanjit Laishram 28 and Pritam Sharma 37 gave early flourish before Loya Meitei 26 and M Winkan Meitei 22 remained not out till the end of the innings.

Chasing 153 runs for the win, Rajesh 48 and Dhawan 39 produced an unbeaten 5th wicket partnership but their effort fell short by two runs and suffered the 1-run loss.

For REYS, Bedamohon (2/240), Kenny (1/30) and Pyarlal (1/28) were among the wickets as L Everest picked three wickets for YCC (3/18) and Loya picked one (1/36) .
