11th AMFA Sr Women's League AMMA FC win 2-1 as ICSA hold MPSC

AMMA FC, Andro edged past WFA, Kakching 2-1 as MPSC were held to a 1-1 draw by ICSA, Irengbam today in the ongoing 11th AMFA Senior Women's Football League organised by the All Manipur Football Association at Artificial Turf, Lamlong Thongkhong.
In the 6th match of the tournament and today's first match, AMMA FC and WFA enjoyed fair share of possession and scoring chances but a fumble on the part of WFA defence handed the Andro team a 2-1 edge at the end.
Both the teams were unable to find the target in the first half but Ph Abema goal in the 66th minute helped AMMA FC take the much anticipated lead.
With the morale boosting goal, they went on for more goals and it came in the form of an own goal by Chim Chim of WFA in the 71st minute.
Trailing behind by two goals, WFA worked hard to reduce the gap but were denied chances by strong defence line of AMMA FC till Kh Bhumika converted a last ditch effort in the injury time to make it 1-2 at the end.
The second match between ICSA and MPSC too saw a barren first half despite numerous chances the two sides had.
W Kanchan however put MPSC ahead in the 49th minute before O Babita handed the equaliser for the Irengbam team six minutes latter.
Despite some fine efforts from both the ends, the scoreline remained undisturbed forcing them to share the spoils.
YWC, Langthabal will play AMMA FC next on March 19 at 8 am and ESU will play WFA latter at 2.15 pm .
