Lower Kom Keirap Football tourney ; Leishemba brace helps KPFC drub SLYC 5-2

KPFC registered a huge 5-2 win over SLYC while Bobby FC survived a late scare to edge past ZESDO 3-2 at the Lower Kom Keirap State Level Football tournament 2018 being organised by Lower Kom Keirap Baptist Youth Society at its village ground.
It was an unexpected turn in the narrative as KPFC who were lagging behind SLYC by 1-2 goals in the first half roared back to notch up the huge win.
Mang of SLYC gave his team the early 2-0 lead with the opener coming up in the early 7th minute before striking the second five minutes later.
Leishemba however pulled back a single to make it 1-2 till first half.
The second half saw a twist in the story as KPFC came very much alive making fine runs dominating the possession.
It was Johnson of KPSC who drew level just three minutes into the match before his compatriot Arif rifled home to give KPSC a 3-2 lead in the 58th minute.
The sudden surge left SLYC in total lurch and their condition worsened when Manichand and Leishemba took their turns to slot one goal each in the 71st and 76th minute and completed the 5-3 drubbing.
The second match of the day saw Bobby FC and ZESDO play a tense contest but the second goal of D Premchand, who opened up for Bobby FC ensured their 3-2 win.
Bobby FC started the game on the front-foot with D Premchand and S Sanjoy netting one goal each in the 1st and the 5th minutes.
ZESDO who were looking for form in the first half finally got into the match when Langnangrei struck a single and reduced the deficit.
D Premchand then took his turn to make it 3-1 past ZESDO.
Langnangrei scored another goal for his team but it could not help his team a comeback.
