Imphal, February 15 2016: United People's Front, Manipur (UPF) will organise the 10th Mega Marathon on April 3 this year.

The front has also sought the support of the people towards this end. A 18-member committee who will organise the marathon has been constituted with UPF president S Ratankumar as its chairman. Addressing media persons at its office at Keishampat, the UPF president said the annual mega marathon on the theme 'Run for Your Nation, Run for Mega Marathon' this year will be held on April 3. The race will be flagged off from Khuman Lampak Main Stadium and it will end at the same spot after covering some 22 kilometers, the president stated. The marathon will be held in two different categories - male and female.

The first three winners of the race will win cash reward of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 15,000 respectively while runners securing between 4th to 15th place will be given cash prize of Rs 2000 each. UPF will also release a souvenir on the day, Ratankumar stated.

The UPF organises the marathon every year to make Manipur a healthy place.

The front has urged people to sup- port the event and also donate monetary and other material aids .
