OSCAR, CYCLONE emerge victorious in U-16 Boys N Rajningthou Memorial Trophy cricket

OSCAR, Paona Bazar thumped CRAU, Khamnam Bazar by 6 wickets at Model Higher Secondary and Oriental College ground while CYCLONE, Thangmeiband clinched a 2 wicket win against PTCC, Patsoi at Luwangpokpa Cricket ground in today's matches of the 2nd MNCA U-16 Boys Naorem Rajningthou Singh Memorial Trophy 2020.At Luwangpokpa Cricket ground, PTCC bundled out for a paltry 77 runs in 21.1 overs (30 overs an innings) as Priyokumar was the only double digit scorer (19 off 20 balls).
PTCC started poorly as Bikash and Ronald of CYCLONE bowled too well to wreak havoc across their (PTCC) batting line up and picked up three wickets each while Abinash managed two wickets.
Samsung and Manglemba also claimed a wicket each before CYCLONE had to face a hard time in the chase.
Donny made the most runs (15 off 21 balls) after openers, Manglemba and Md Ali Karim returned to the stand with 4 runs in their names while Abinash too added 12 runs off 12 balls before Robinson scored 8 runs to push CYCLONE to home (79 runs) in 18.4 overs.
In PTCC bowling, Ch Nikhil, RK Bryansana and Anao scalped two wickets while Sylvas claimed a wicket.
Elsewhere at Model Higher Secondary and Oriental College ground, OSCAR chased down CRAU's target of 170 runs in 29 overs with 6 wickets left in the hand.
CRAU had a good start with H Johenba (37), I Nikhil (36) and Kh Prakash (27) making good contributions but their innings folded up with only 169 runs for 7 in their quota of 30 overs as Kaushal Kumar ran through their batting line up and finished with 4 wickets in 6 overs giving 36 runs.
The innings also saw Prince Kumar and M Reishen claiming a wicket each in their spell of 6 overs.
The chase went smooth as Prince Kumar stacked up 43 runs off 79 balls he faced before M Reishen and Kaushal Kumar added 36 and 33 runs each to keep their momentum alive and help reach the target at the loss of 4 wickets in 2 overs.
In CRAU's bowling, Prakash finished with best figure of 6-2-49 (O-W-R) while Johenba and I Nikhil claimed a wicket each.
