Players for action against MU Badminton team manager

Players who took part in the recently concluded Inter University East Zone Badminton Tournament held at BIT Mishra, Ranchi from 5th to 6th November, 2013 have appealed to the concerned authority to take up action against team manager Laishram Roben for not co-operating the players during the tournament.
In a press meet at Manipur Press Club here today, H Jugindro, one of the parents of Manipur University Badminton team players said that team manager Biren tried to ruin the players during the tournament.
He even booked return tickets one day ahead of completion of tournament and went back by awarding work over to Manipur team.
Later, players of Manipur requested the organizers to include in the fixture of the tournament to enable them to play again.
Thus, Manipur team was qualified in the tournament and could win runners up title in the tournament.
At the time of entering semi final by men's team in the tournament, instead of encouraging the winning players, he scolded and abused the players using harsh words by labeling the state players as complete vain.
R.K.Devjit, Team captain of Manipur, also made it clear that state players will not participate in any tournament to be guided by Roben in future.
Such kind of activities could not be tolerated by the players and if he remains in the Sports Department of Manipur University, the sports standards of the players in the university will never be developed at all, he maintained.
