TRAU prevailed over TRUGPU at Loktak Trophy

Imphal, December 11 2012: TRAU, Kwakeithel prevailed over TRUGPU, Nambol 5-4 in penalty shoot-out to advance into the summit round of the 6th Loktak Trophy football tournament.

The first semifinal played today at Moirang Multi-purpose Higher Secondary School ground ended in a 1-1 stalemate at the end of normal period with William Chiru's 32nd minute goal for the Nambol side neutralised by the rivals in the 62nd minute through Premkumar.

In the penalty shoot-out, Dhananjoy, Daniel, Anthony and Prem beat the Nambol custodian while only Ananta-kumar, Robinson and Raju were successful from the spot.

TRAU will play the final against the December 13 winner of the second semifinal featuring NISA, Thangmeiband and host AMOFA.
