Imphal, November 09 2024: FLAK fought from 2 goals down to salvage a draw with KFC as VFC-B staged a similar comeback to play out a 2-2 draw with CHAMP FC in today's matches of the ongoing 1st State Level SDPO Chingtham Anandkumar Memorial 9-A-Side Veteran Football Tournament 2024-25 .

In the 9th match of the tournament being underway at SICO ground, Lourembam Leikai, KFC and FLAK started cautiously and entered into the break goalless.

KFC however dominated the earlier proceedings of the second half and raced to a 1-0 lead after 45 minutes through Umakanta who also completed his brace in the 57th minute.

KFC however halved the deficit through Rameshwor in the 58th minute and when the game looked to end in KFC's favour, Sanayaima scored a last ditch goal (60+2') to dash away KFC's hopes of taking home all three points.

Later in the 10th match of the tournament, CHAMP FC enjoyed a 2-0 first half lead courtesy of goals scored by Marjeet (5') and Gunabir (19') but VFC-B pulled one goal back in the 44th minute through Jayenta before Opendro scored the equaliser two minutes into the stoppage time (60+2') .
