Imphal, November 09 2017: In today’s first match of the 33rd N Hazari and Dr N Tombi State Polo Tournament organised by the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association, Samadon Ayangba Polo Club get the better of Sagolband Apunba Naharol Polo Club by 6-4 while in the second match, Tekcham Polo Club drubbed KRYPSA Polo Team by 11-2 and in the third match, Kangleipak Polo Star Club defeated KNMM Rising School by 7-3 .

In the first match of the day between Samadon Ayangba Polo Club and Sagolband Apunba Naharol Polo Club, two goals each were scored in the second (Th Basanta, N Hobi Achumi), third (Th Basanta, K Herojit) and fourth (Th Basanta, N Hobi Achumi) chukkers for the winning team .

The losing team, Sagolband Apunba Naharol Polo Club could score only one in the first (Th TK Meitei) chukker and managed to score three (K Rishikanta Meitei two goals, Th TK Meitei) in the third chukker but then it was too late .

Tekcham Polo Club dominated the second match against KRYPSA and led the match by 7-0 in the first chukker, 8-0 in the second, 10-0 in the third and ended with 11-2 .

In the first chukker, Moirangthem Kuber scored thrice, S Dijen twice, and Soibam Ranjit and Moirangthem Manihar one each.

In the second chukker, Soibam Ranjit scored one.

In the third chukker, S Dijen and M Kuber scored one each and in the last, M Kuber scored another one .

For KRYPSA, L Pandit and S Dipak scored one each and both of these came in the last chukker .

Kangleipak Polo Star and KNMM Riding School B were tied at 2-2 till the second chukker, then in the third, Kangleipak Polo Star led with 5-3 and ended with 7-3 to win the match .

Th Puremba and M Chaoba scored one each for Kangleipak Polo Star in the second chukker, and in the third chukker, M Chaoba scored twice and Th Puremba once and in the last, H Sanjay scored twice to make it 7 for Kangleipak Polo Star .

KNMM Riding School B, N Jackson scored one goal in the first chukker, W Johny another one in the second and N Jackson scored the third goal in the last chukker .

In the pre-quarterfinal matches tomorrow, Manipur Police Sports Club A will clash with KNMM Riding School A at 1pm, Nambul Mapal Polo Club with Chingkheihunba Polo Club A at 2pm and Imphal Riding Club with CRPF at 3pm.
