6th MNCA Plate Tournament : N Komol's unbeaten 73 guides IBSA to 7 wicket win over RRCC

IBSA, Yumnam Leikai beat RRCC, Churachandpur by 7 wickets to extend their winning run to three in the 6th MNCA Plate Tournament Group - B campaign here at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium today.
IBSA, who were on high after two straight wins after opening game loss, bundled RRCC out for 131 runs in 31.3 overs and chased down the target within 22 overs at the cost of 3 wickets.
RRCC who were put in to bat first started their innings slowly with P Kamzamang Zou (12), Louriyam Elan Singh (17) and Lalboi Vaiphei (24) making sensible battings but wickets kept falling and the team were 92 for 6 in 25 overs.
Abishek Sharma (16 not out) and Thangkhopao (16) then tried to ease the pressure late on but RK Pritamkumar who remove Moirangthem Rameshwor for the third wicket set up Ningthoujam Ramkumar run out for duck and bowled out David Das to wrap up RRCC innings in 31.3 overs.
Eventually IBSA's Pritamkumar finished with the best bowling figures of 2 for 17 in 6.3 overs which contained two maidens.
Karan Prajapati (2/28) and Rajababu (2/23) also picked up two wickets each as Kangabam Ramananda managed one.
In the chase, Nongmeikapam Komol Singh blazed off an unbeaten 73 on the back of 9 fours and 1 six to steer IBSA Yumnam to winning 135 within 22 overs.
Earlier Moirangthem Sunanda had added 30 runs off 46 balls for a notable 69-runs first wicket partnership with Komol in 14 overs.
Usham Gunabanta was also unbeaten on 7 as IBSA sealed the third victory in four matches.
Pankaj Hazarika picked two wickets for 28 runs in this innings as Ningthoujam Shyamsundar managed one in a losing cause.
N Komol who shone with his bat today was adjudged man of the match.
