18th Challenge Cup NCDA, AYMFA claim narrow wins

Imphal, May 09 2016: NCDA and AYMFA clinched narrow victories in the 18th Challenge Cup � Veteran's Football Tournament, organised by the Manipur Veteran Football Association (MVFA), today at Mapal Kangjeibung.

In the first match today, NCDA defeated IEVFA by a lone goal through Kh Tiken in the 43rd minute.

In the last group league match, AYMFA edged past VBFAM by a margin of 2 goals to one.

Kh Sanatomba and K Mosess Sareo netted in the winning goals in the 5th and 60th minute respectively.

For VBFAM, Suraj Bishwas found the lone goal in the 4th minute.

Despite their wins NCDA and AYMFA failed to qualify for the quarterfinals round.

Tomorrow in the quarterfinal, TBSFA will play with FC Imphal while in another match VSAI will clash with Kolkata team.
