Manipur finish overall team runners up at 65th NSG Thang-Ta

Manipur with a collection of 7 gold, 17 silver and 3 bronze medals which make up a total 92 points, finished overall team runners up at the 65th National School Games in Thang-Ta for U-14, U-17 and U-17 age groups held at Delhi since January 3 under the supervision of School Games Federation of India.
N Jameson (U-14 boys 52 kg), Ph Bishorjit Meitei (U-14 boys 56 kg), S Malemnganbi (U-14 Girls' 53 kg), S Priyanka (U-17 Girls' 75 kg), Gopal Rai (U-19 Boys' 80 kg), K Merina (U-19 Girls' 58 kg) and Sh Anjali (U-19 Girls' 62 kg) won gold medals for Manipur in this games.
The bulk of 17 silver medals for Manipur were claimed by S Dipas (U-14 Boys' 40 kg), L Khuraingakpa (U-14 Boys' 56 kg), Linthoi (U-14 Girls' 45 kg), Tina Thokchom (U-14 Girls' 49 kg), S Millionaire (U-14 boy's 37 kg), S Rojika (U-17 Girls' 60 kg), L Jamesbond (U-17 Boys' 52 kg), S Chetanjit (U-17 Boys' 56 kg), M Arbind Meitei (U-17 Boys' 60 kg), Jackson Potsangbam (U-17 boys 65 kg), Th Korounganba (U-17 Boys' 70 kg), Th Mangalleiba (U-19 Boys' 65 kg), L Lenin (U-19 Boys' 63 kg), Y Deepak (U-19 Boys' 70 kg), M Birbal (U-19 Boys' 75 kg), L Sofia Chanu (U-19 Girls' 50 kg) and Y Pinky (U-19 Girls' 54 kg) .
The three bronze medals were on the other hand claimed by N Napolean (U-14 Boys' 44 kg), S Romesh(U-14 Boys' 48 kg) and Ch Deviya (U-17 Girls' 44 kg).
The State teams were led by E Rita Devi as manager, Th Lokeshor Singh and N Sumobala as coaches.
