Imphal, August 07 2015 : CT Higher Secondary School, Mayang Imphal, representing Imphal West district beat Radha Madhav Sanskrit Vidyalaya, Bishnupur by a margin of four goals to two to clinch the State Inter-School Subroto Mukherjee Football Tournament U-17 girls in the final match of the tournament today at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

In what seemed like an impressive start, Radha Madhav Sanskrit, Bishnupur opened their first account in the 13th minute through N Ratanbala's goal.

CT Higher Secondary School then went on the offensive and launched a series of well-coordinated moves to find the equaliser.

Their efforts paid dividends when Roja netted the first goal in the 30th minute.

Roja scored three other goals in succession in the 38th, 51st, and 64th minute.

The Bishnupur side managed to score their second goal again through N Ratanbala in the 48th minute.

Although they made efforts to reduce the margin, their efforts went abegging.

Dineshori of CT Higher Sec School was cautioned in the 59th minute.

Earlier in the day, CT Hr Sec School defeated Poiroukhongjin High School 1-0 in the first semifinal while Radha Madhav Sanskrit, Bishnupur booked their final berth after registering a comprehensive 9-0 win against Sofia English School, Thoubal in the second semifinal match this morning.

The tournament kick-started on July 7.A total of eight schools participated in the tournament.
