Imphal, February 07 2025: MPA, Thounaojam handed YPHU, Lalambung fifth straight loss to earn their first win in 6 matches of the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-15 Women's One Day Trophy at THAU ground, Thangmeiband today.

Opting to bat first, YPHUC added a modest total of 114 runs for 4 wickets in the allotted 30 overs and MPA chased down the target in 25.4 overs with three wickets left to spare.

Japani Irom 22, Loktongbam Terina 16 and Suchitra Waikhom 16 managed double digit scores for YPHUC in an innings that saw MPA bowlers conceding as many as 47 extras.

For MPA, Yumnam Echapamu, Salaingambi Thokchom, Chongtham Roshita and Laishram Bandanna Chanu picked a wicket apiece.

In reply, Yumnam Echapamu and Laishram Bandana forged the first wicket partnership of 55 runs in 12 overs before 59 extras made the chase easier despite losing 7 wickets.

Loktongbam Terina (2/21), Eriklembi Soubam (2/24) and Mutum Divika (2/26) shared 6 wickets for YPHU in a lost cause.

Y Echapamu who produced leading performances for MPA was adjudged player of the match.
