4th Khelo India Youth Games : Pinky, Priyangka add two more gold medals to Manipur's tally

A day after Laipubam Vishal Sharma and Moirangthem Arbin won Manipur gold medals in the 4th Khelo India Games Thang-Ta events, Yumnam Pinky and Khundongbam Priyangka won gold medal each today.
The games organised jointly by Haryana government and Sports Authority of India (SAI), Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports kicked off yesterday at Panchkula, Haryana.
Moirangthem Arbin won the gold medal in the -60 kg phunaba ama event yesterday as Vishal won another gold in the -56 kg phunaba ama event.
Yumnam Pinky in the meantime clinched the third medal in the women's -52 kg phunaba ama event beating Assam's T Alina in the final bout.
Khundongbam Priyangka while managed the fourth gold medal in Thang-ta finishing first in phunaba ama event for women's -56 kg category.
Meanwhile, Manipur boys cycling team won a silver medal in the team sprint event.
The State team comprising Konthoujam Bishan, Khwairakpam Rahul and Salam Sanathoi clocked 49 .906 seconds to settle for the silver medal.
Yesterday, Manipur U-18 boys kicked off their hockey campaign with a 4-3 win over Chandigarh at Ambala.
Meanwhile, State girls kick-started their football campaign on a sour note losing 0-3 to Jharkhand.
