Plate Tourney : Rinku picks six to earn OSCAR 8-wicket win over SHADOW

Imphal, November 04 2023: Rinku Kangujam added quick 29 and enjoyed a 6-wicket haul to earn OSCAR- Uripok an emphatic 8-wicket win over SHADOW-Thangmeiband Kabrabam Leikai today in the 6th match of the 8th MNCA Plate Tournament at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.

SHADOW won the toss and opted to bat first but got bundled out for a paltry total of 55 runs in 19 overs as things swung in OSCAR's way with Rinku leading the bowling attack and returned with the best figures of 6/10 in 5 overs.

Kh Dennis was the highest run getter for SHADOW adding 14 runs off 39 deliveries in their innings which also saw OSCAR's Zenith Nongmaithem scalped three wickets (3/11 in 4 overs) .

In reply, OSCAR lost the openers cheaply to S Chitaranjan but Bijendro Singh (12 not out) and Rinku Kangujam (29 not out) led the team to the victory in just 10 overs.

Rinku was eventually named man of the match.
