SOYO beat THAU 2-0 in IW 2nd Divn Football League

Imphal, January 04 2025: SOYO, Sanjembam extended their winning run in the ongoing 12th Second Division Football Legaue organised by Imphal West District Football Association with a 2-0 win over THAU, Thangmeiband today.

SOYO and THAU entered into the break goalless at PAMYAL ground in Patsoi but SOYO surged ahead in the second half with a 41st minute strike from N Motilal before P Paramjit netted the decisive goal in the 64th minute.

Later in the day, SJC, Salam who suffered a 1-2 first round loss to SOYO, registered a slender 1-0 win over ESA, Mayang Imphal thanks to a 23rd minute strike from T Donaldo.

IUFC will play SOYO in the next match on January 6 from 12 pm before MTSU play SJC from 2.15 pm in the 8th match of the tournament the same day.
