LFC down YCC 3-2 in Jiri Cup

Jiribam, February 02 2016: LFC, Lungreijang registered a narrow 3-2 win against YCC, Karimganj in the 11th Jiri Cup Invitation Football Tourna-ment, organised by the All Jiribam Sports Association (AJSA), today at Jiribam HSS playground.

In today's preliminary knock out stage match, Ponga Pou struck home an early opening goal for LFC in the 2nd minute.

YCC bounced back in the 25th minute after Mama found the equaliser.

In the next minute, LFC took a 2-1 lead after Ponga Pou scored his second goal in the 26th minute.

Minutes later, Apollo scored the third goal of LFC in the 37th minute to make the scoreline 3-1 in the first half.

After the break, YCC fought back till Velte pulled back a goal in the 77th minute.

However, YCC failed to hold their opponent and lost the match 2-3 to LFC.

Tomorrow, DSA, Lakhipur will meet Chiru Sporting Club.
