59th CC Meet to begin from today

Imphal, December 01 2015:
The 59th Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament 2015, organised by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) will kick start from tomorrow at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
The opening ceremony of the tournament will be graced by IFCD Minister Ngamthang Haokip and AMFA president P Raghumani as chief guest and president respectively.
In the opening match SIRTI FC, Chandel will play with KPSC, Kakching at 1.30 pm.
Altogether, 21 teams - 10 from MSL 2015, 8 from top division football leagues and 3 from outside Manipur will take part in the tournament.
However, the three teams from other State will join the tournament directly from quarter-finals.
It may be mentioned that a cash prize of Rs 5 lakh will be awarded to the team champion while the runner-up team will received Rs 2 lakh.
AMFA has made some changes for the 59th edition of CC Meet i.e there will be no qualifying rounds.
