Imphal, February 01 2016: NISA, Thangmeiband set up with NEROCA FC, Sangakpham in the final showdown of the 6th Shaheed Manoranjan Singh Memorial State Open Football Tournament, jointly organised by Group Centre CRPF and Imphal West District Football Association (IWDFA) under the aegis of All Manipur Football Association (AMFA), today at Main Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

In the first semifinal match today, NEROCA FC outclassed UPSA, Pukhao by a margin of 8 goals to nil.

Seikhohao Tuboi was the star player of NEROCA FC as he alone banged in six winning goals in the 1st, 18th, 33rd, 66th, 74th and 78th minute while the remaining two goals were scored by Ronald in the 43rd and 68th minute.

In the second semifinal match today, NISA, Thangmeiband trounced GC CRPF, Langjing by a margin of 7 goals to one.

In today's one sided encounter match, NISA began dominating the match from the first minute with better ball possession.

A treble from L Sanatomba in the 15th, 45th and 68th minute and a strike each from Kh Newton, Kh Jacky, L Sanatomba, L Ratan and Thomyo Shimray in the 22nd, 64th, 76th and 84th minute gave the seven winning goals to NISA.

On the other side, the consolation goal of GC CRPF SC, Langjing was netted in by Amosh Kom in the 37th minute.

NISA's L Sanatomba and Th Itomba and GC CRPF SC players Th Bombay Meetei and Amos Kom were cautioned during the match.

The final match will be played on Feb 3 at 12.30 pm.
