Manipur collect 11 medals till day 2 of 6th IKSF Natl Open Karate C'ship

The karatekas of Manipur Amateur Karate Do Association have so far amassed 11 medals including 6 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals till second day of the 6th IKSF National Open Karate Championship.

As per a press release of Manipur Amateur Karate Do Association, Maimom Omesh Singh had won a gold and two silver medals in the 20-25 years blackbelt kata and senior 75 kg kumite events while Sougrakpam Gunachand Meitei bagged 2 gold medals, 1 in 18 years blackbelt kata and another in kumite events for senior 67 kg category respectively.
Loitongbam Premjit Singh also clinched two gold medals in the 19 years blackbelt kata event and 60 kg kumite event while the other gold medal was fetched by M Joychandra in the senior 55 kg black belt kumite event.
Mutum Bishambor Singh added Manipur a bronze and a silver medal in the colour belt kata for 18-20 years and kumite event for 67 kg respectively while Nivason Thongam claimed two bronze medals in the colour belt senior kata event and 55 kg kumite event.
