Sainik School Imphal conducts cross country race

Imphal, October 31 2015 : A Cross Country Race was held at Sainik School, Imphal today with great zeal and enthusiasm.

A total of hundred cadets from all the houses viz Netaji, Raman, Shivaji and Tagore took part in the event.

According to a statement issued by the PRO (Defence), Imphal, the race covered a distance of 11 kms of mountainous and country terrain.

A large number of ex-students, family members and staff of Sainik School, Imphal assembled early in the morning to cheer up and encourage the cadets.

Group Captain (Dr) DD Mishra flagged off the race and gave away the prizes on conclusion of the race.

Cdt Bhopen (Class IX) of Raman House stood first in the race by clocking 39:14 while and Cdt Aashish (Class VII) of Tagore House came second (39:42).Tagore House was adjudged overall champion of the race.
