FC Moirang down AMOFA in Bishnupur Super League

Imphal, August 31 2016: FC Moirang downed AMOFA, Moirang today in the 6th Dangmei Majabi Kabui Memorial Super Division Football League 2016 organised by DSA Bishnupur at Mini Stadium, Bishnupur.

In a thrilling match today, James scored the opener as early as the 4th minute of the match.

Stung by the early goal, AMOFA went on the offensive to equalise and come back into the match, but their efforts went abegging.

In another set back to AMOFA, their player Samson was yellow carded in the 38th minute for unsporting behaviour and the first half ended with RC Moirang taking a 1-0 lead.

After the breather, both teams played with a purpose and AMOFA found it hard to withstand the series of attacks launched by the rival team.

Clement of FC Moirang added another goal to seal a comfortable victory for his team.

Momocha of FC Moirang was cautioned in the 49th minute while Gunil of AMOFA and Deepak of FC Moirang were red carded and sent off the field in the 64th minute for unsporting behaviour.
