Manipur Hockey Elects Its New Office Bearers

Imphal, August 31 2014: Manipur Hockey, in its General Body Meeting held today at the Conference Hall of Youth Hostel Khuman Lampak, has elected the new office bearers for the 17-member Executive Council for 2014-2018 .

In the Election conducted today with Advocate L.Manaobi Singh as Returning Officer, the members have unanimously re-elected Shri Ksh.

Thoiba Singh, Olympian as the president of Manipur Hockey.

.SSabita Devi has been elected as Senior Vice President, while Gyanendra Ningomba, Sh.

Shamu Singh, B.Bimola Devi and Ph.

Nirmalata Devi as Vice-presidents.

.SSuneeta Devi has been elected as General Secretary, while N.Rameshwor Singh, Ch.

Balla Singh, Ch.

Sakuntala Devi and M.Ibetombi Devi will be its Joint Secretaries.

In the General Body meeting held in presence of Hockey India Observer Tapar Das, MOA Secretary General Elangbam Sunil and YAS Observer N.Oken Singh, Shri Seram Neken has been elected as Treasurer, while the five newly elected Executive members are K.Bimol, Th.Dorendro, I.Nandeswor, M.Padmabati and Ng.

Thabaleima.

Manipur Hockey, the apex body of Hockey in the state, which is affiliated to Hockey India and Manipur Olympic Association has altogether 14 affiliate Hockey clubs/organizations, while the electoral college of the Body comprises 31members.
