KIWT 2022: Moltinchan Veng to meet Ahsijolneng Veng in women's volleyball final

Kangpokpi, January 31 2022: Moltinchan Veng brushed aside Jonlhing Veng 4-1 (25-06, 25-10, 24-25, 25-16) in women's second semifinal match today as Tintong Veng beat Jonlhing Veng in a straight 3-0 set (25-16, 23-23, 25-14) in men's second semifinal in the ongoing 18th Kangpokpi Inter Ward Tournament 2022 .

Ahsijolneng Veng will play Moltinchan Veng in the women's volleyball final while Dr GG Crozier Mission Compound will lock horns for the men's volleyball title on February 4 at Brigadier M Thomas Ground.

In the U-15 last quarterfinal match staged today, Dr GG Crozier Mission Compound had an easy 5-0 win over defending champions Vengthah to book a berth in the semifinals.

Blessing (7', 12') and Kamgougun (26', 34') shone with two goals each for the winning side as Lunginthang (24') scored the other.

In a league round match of the men's football today, Ngambom Veng salvaged a 2-2 draw with Khupting Veng to secure the runners up spot with 8 points from four matches.

Satgoulal (7') and Kaijang (34') scored for the Ngambom side in this keenly contested match while Seibem (14') and Seilenlal (17') scored it for the Khupting side.

In another match, Kilkhong Veng defeated Tintong Veng 3-0 but both teams failed to break through to the knockout round.

Thangminchon (14') and Semgoungam (19') scored for the Kilkhong side as Lamgoulen (17' OG) of Tintong Veng conceded an own goal.

In the U-15 football, Ahsijolneng Veng, Nanglhun Veng, Enjakhup Veng and Dr GG Crozier Mission Compound entered the semifinal round while Jonlhing Veng, Kilkhong Veng, Ngambom Veng, Nanglhun Veng, Vengthah, Sipinthei Veng, Chengjapao Veng and Phungtin Veng teams have made it to the quarterfinals.

In the men's football, Jonlhing Veng, Ngambom Veng, Vengthah, Kholmun Veng, Enjakhup Veng, Phungtin Veng, Chengjapao Veng and Sipinthei Veng entered the quarterfinals.

Tomorrow, in the first semi-final match of U-15 football, Ahsijolneng Veng will play Nanglhun Veng at 8 am.

In the quarterfinal matches of veteran football, Jonlhing Veng will play Kilkhong Veng while Ngambom Veng will play Nanglhun Veng.

In men football quarter final matches, Jonlhing Veng will play Ngambom veng while Vengthah will play Kholmun Veng.
