SYDOP, PIC prevail in DFA U-15 Football

Imphal, December 31 2019: SYDOP, Phougakchao and PIC, Moirang overwhelmed their respective rivals in today's Group A league matches of the 1st DFA U-15 Football League Tournament being organised by District Football Association Moirang at Moirang Multipurpose Higher Secondary School playground.

In the first Group A league match of the day, SYDOP which played out a 0-0 draw with YSUC, Phubala improved themselves to trounce SWC, Bangala 4-0 .

SYDOP came out all guns blazing from the onset and it were N Bijen and N Adison who scored in the 9th and the 10th minutes respectively to ensure their team a 2-0 lead till the break.

After the break, SYDOP continued to press SWC looking for more goals and it was Surjakanta who extended the lead to 3-0 with a clinical strike in the 33rd minute before Ch Amarjit rounded off the scoring in the 50th minute.

Meanwhile, PIC which thumped SWC 5-0 in their opening fixture, extended their winning run by brushing aside TUC, Thangalawai by 7-1 goals.

Changthoiba scored two goals in the opening 10 minutes (1', 10') before earning his third in the 47th minute in this huge win for PIC while Arjun contributed two goals (22', 41'), one each on the either side of the break.

Davidson (19') and Rivaldo (50') also scored for PIC as N Geetchandra (39') scored the only goal for TUC.

Ideal Club, Sunusiphai will play SEVA, Naranseina in a Group B league match at 11.45 am on January 2, 2020 before SYC, Sagang meet NASA, Ngangkha Leikai in another Group B league match latter at 2 pm .
