MSG: State swimmers add two gold medals

Imphal, November 29 2024: Manipur added two gold medals to their tally on the sixth day of the of the swimming competition at the 68th National School Games in Rajkot, Gujarat on Friday.

David Sapam delivered an outstanding performance in the 100m butterfly event, securing the gold with a dominant swim.

In addition, Manipur's relay team - comprising Leishangthem Bishorjit, Laitonjam Lanchenba, David Sapam, and Koijam Athoiba - clinched another gold in the 4x100m freestyle relay.

The team completed the race in a time of 4:02.62, marking a significant achievement.

These two victories on Friday brought Manipur's total gold medal count to four, underscoring the state's strong showing in the competition.
