12th Junior National Wushu Championships : State players add four more gold, three bronze to continue impressive display

State players continued to dominate the 12th Junior National Wushu Championships, which got underway yesterday at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium, adding four more gold medals and two bronze on the second day of the championship.
In the Chaquan (Boys) event, Bhagwat Prasada Pandey of Punjab walked off with the Gold, followed by Manish Baraskar of Madhya Pradesh bagging the Silver and N Dev Singh also of Madhya Pradesh winning the Bronze.
In the girls category for the Chaquan event, Jyoti Kumari of Jharkhand came out on top to win the Gold while Anuradha Dubey of Punjab won the silver, followed by Padamani Narzeny, who had to settle for the Bronze.
The domination of State players continued with Y Ananda Singh of Manipur winning the Gold in Taijiquan event in the boys category.
Avinsha Kumar Ganju of Jharkhand won the Silver in the same event with Pranshu Sharma of Punjab winning the bronze.
In the girls category of Taijiquan event, L Memecha Devi of Manipur won the Gold, followed by Sakshi Vaidya of Madhya Pradesh with the Silver while Minu Munda of Jharkhand won the Bronze.
It was the same case in the other events, with H Ramananda Meitei of Manipur winning the Gold in Nandao event (Boys).
Niraj Paswan of Delhi came second to win the Silver while H Kangleinganba Singh of Manipur settled for the Bronze.
In the Girls category of Nandao event, T Arita Devi of Manipur won the Gold medal followed by Rizina Tamang of Delhi with Silver and Geeta Xalxo of Jharkhand with the Bronze medal.
N Dev Singh of MP won the gold in the Daoshu event in the boys' category followed by Bhagwat Porasad Pandey of Punjab with the Silver, while H Vikash Sharma of Manipur won the Bronze medal.
In the girls category of the same event (Daoshu), Purnima Rojak of MP won the Gold followed by Swecha Jatav of Madhya Pradesh with the Silver while L Pushpa of Manipur bagged the bronze.
The tournament is being organised by the Wushu Association of Manipur and will go on till December 31 .
