Jadonang Football: TYC, NYC, CFC win

Imphal, November 26 2013: TYC Tharon defeated KYC Kalalong by 3-1 goal in the first pre-quarter final match of the IXth Jadonang Memorial Football Tournament, 2013 at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband here today.

Though KYC opened their goal account in the 4th minute of the match played in the morning through its star player P Lungaikhong (jersey no.13), the fate of the game became a foregone conclusion when the players of TYC namely Kadijingbou Newmai (jersey no.13), AD Padigomba (Jersey no.14) and Kaininglung (jersey no 11) fetched three goals in the 15th, 42nd and 83rd minute of the match, giving no room for the opponent team to even think of increasing its goal account.

Player of KYC, G Neilagong (jersey no.15) was also booked for his unsporting behaviour in the 71st minute of the match.

In the second pre-quarter final match played in the evening, NYC Namdunlong emerged better of CRYC Chingmeirong by defeating the opponent team by 1-0 goal.

The lone winning goal of NYC was scored by Reuben (jersey no.9) in the 54th minute of the match conducted withy K Ibotombi Meetei as Centre referee.

Dikiuyang (jersey no.20) of CRYC and William (jersey no.20) of NYC were also cautioned by the match referee for their unsporting conduct during the match.

In the third and last pre-quarter final match of the league round tournament today, CFC Chingkhulong defeated DYC Dimdaijang by 1-0 goal.

The winning goal of CFC came from its player K Semion (jersey no.11) in the 23rd minute of the match, during which K Dinglinlung (jersey no.10) of CFC and Thainilung Rongmei (jersey no.23) and Langbanchao Kamei (jersey no.66) were booked for their unsporting behaviour.

The pre-quarter final matches of the tournament would resume on November 29 when KKFC Keishamthong would meet MKYC Mahabali in the morning.

In the afternoon, NYC Namthanlong would play against KFC Kamasan Tamei in the first round while LTYC Tarung and TKYC Taosang Khupum would clash in the second ground.
