12th Manipur Palo International : India-B thrash USA 7-2 to extend unbeaten run

India-B thrashed USA by 7-2 goals today to continue their unbeaten run at the 12th Manipur International Polo which is underway at Mapal Kangjeibung since November 22 under the auspices of Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association.
Earlier in the day, England notched up an emphatic 10-1 win over lowly India-A to register its second win at the tournament.
The first match of the day saw England's George Amor take the centre stage scoring 4 goals alone while George Shelton contributed three goals to hand England a huge 10-1 win against India-A.England had a confident start taking a 4-0 lead in the first chukker with George Amor scoring the first goal.
George Shelton then chipped in two goals back to back before Henry Amor had a single and made it 4-0.George Amor galloped into India-A's half to add two more goals in the 2nd chukker while Ben Eeley scored a single to extend the lead to 7-0.Henry Amor scored his second goal in the 3rd chukker before Col Jarsem Singh chipped in the only goal for India-A.England's George Shelton then rode deep into India-A's territory to hit his third in this chukker and put England clear ahead with a 9-0 lead.
George Amor then put in the last goal in the last chukker and successfully wrapped up the game 10-1 in England's favour.
In the second match of the day, India-B rode on Th Kaoba's goals to overcome USA 7-2 comfortably.
India-B, having sealed two of the two wins in their previous ties began the match confidently leading the first chukker by 4-1 goals.
Th Kaoba hit twice after USA's Chad Browman found the opener while S Bimol and P Ojit managed one goal each.
Both teams failed to add up in the second chukker but star of the match, Th Kaoba found his way twice to extend the lead to 6-1 in the third chukker.
The earlier part of the fourth chukker saw USA tried hard to return into the game and it was Connor Deal who struck a fine shot to reduce the margin.
They failed to capitalise latter on and it was T Pradeep who came up with another goal and helped India-B cruise to a comfortable 7-2 win.
India-A will face Uruguay in the next match tomorrow.
