MU Inter College Archery Tournament (M&W) begins

Imphal, October 24 2019:
A two-day Manipur University Inter College Archery Tournament (M&W) 2019 organized under the aegis of Manipur University Sports Committee and hosted by Thoubal College began at the playground of the College today.
The opening function was attended by Assistant Director of Sport, Manipur University, Dr Ch Pradeep as chief guest; Principal Thoubal College, Okram Chaoba Devi as functional president and Head of Chemistry Dept, Thoubal College, Dr S Lokhon as guest of honour.

The tournament is being participated by 27 players from MU and 12 other Colleges.
10 boys and 6 girls will compete in the Indian Round while 2 boys and 4 girls will battle it out in the Recurve Round and 2 boys and 3 girls will compete in the Compound Round.
On the first day, W Maleshwari of Waikhom Mani Girls College won gold with a total score of 639 points in the women's Indian round while Kh Malemnganbi Chanu of the same college scored 560 points to settle with silver and Abesana Irom scored 546 points to finish with bronze medal.
In boys Indian round, L Milan Meitei, Th Heller Singh and Maibam James Singh of Thoubal College scored 647, 640 and 611 points to win gold, silver and bronze medals respectively while in girls Recurve round, Ksh Manglemsana of Biramangol college won god scoring 602 points, K Prameshwori Devi of YK College bagged silver with a total score of 537 points and L Omilagrace Devi of GP Women College scored 517 points to collect bronze medal.
In Recurve boys round, L Samananda Meitei of Regional college won gold with 560 points while Momo Singh of Kha Manipur College scored 410 points to settle with silver medal.
In the Compound girls round, Mutum Rupan Devi of Biramangol college, Suchitra Tourangbam of Pole Star College and L Dulina Devi of Pravabati College scored 674, 653 and 638 points to win gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
In Compound boys round, Mutum Mangaldeep of MU and Khaidem Nelson of KP College won gold and silver respectively with 625 and 607 points.
