Sub-Jr and Jr Diving Nationals : SSCB emerge team champions, L Dexson wins Manipur's lone medal

Imphal, July 23 2023: SSCB (Services) were crowned team champions of the 36th Sub-Junior and 49th Junior National Aquatics Championship (Diving) held from July 18 to 22 at Chennai.

Manipur's Laishram Dexson won a bronze medal at this championship finishing third in the High Board competition for Group I boys by securing 297.50 points.

Manipur's Indiver Sairem who represents SSCB bagged two gold medals in this championship and Yumnam Premson bagged a gold and a silver to help SSCB finish on top of the tally.

Indiver secured 348.20 pts in high board competition for Group I boys and 415.20 pts in the 3 mr springboard event to win two gold medals.

Meanwhile, Premson bagged the gold medal in the 1 meter springboard event for Group I boys with 358.60 pts and a silver in the high board event with 346.10 pts.

SSCB secured 35 points in Group I competitions and 27 points in Group II competitions to finish as team champions.

Notably, SSCB is led by Manipur's M Kunjakishor and Ch Puskar Meitei as chief coach and assistant coach.
